The Color Wheel Challenge!

Black is slimming.
White makes you look fat.

How often have you heard those phrases?

Society assumes that just because we are plus size we desire no color in our lives.
(Or that we want too much of it ie: the tops we find that don't even match with themselves.)
Even in underclothes, we are often forced to stick to beige, black and white.
So I'm choosing to take back my style with a challenge that will bring those safe-colors to their knees.

How does this go & How can you join?

Starting this Monday, I am joining, or shall I say launching,
The Color Wheel Challenge!
Now you personally do not have to start on this very Monday, you can start any day...

Red Red-Orange Orange Yellow-Orange Yellow Yellow-Green Green Blue-Green Blue Blue-Violet Violet Red-Violet

Here is how it's going to go down: When you choose to, make the statement,
"I am joining The Color Wheel challenge!"
Then on the stated day pick a color from the color wheel and wear it, anywhere! It can be your eyeliner, a cardigan, shoes, nail polish, a dress, an accessory, whatever
(although I do hope you all will be matching)
Then just take a picture each day and post it online
Whether its Blogger (like I will be at the end of the week), Deviantart, Facebook (like I will be doing throughout the week), Tumblr or wherever I'm easy to please.

But here is the catch, which isn't too hard... You must go in order
You may, however, go around twice with the primary/secondary colors and then the intermediate colors so you don't feel like you are wearing the same color two or three days in a row...
or you could always do as I plan on, and just do the primary & secondary colors because I simply do not have enough clothing to be worried about what's red-orange or blue-green. Which would make it more of a rainbow challenge for me but we'll ignore that technicality.

If you are still having a hard time being persuaded into doing this, remember that all you need is that pop of color you are totally allowed to choose different shades and tints and to mix and match with
beige, tan, brown, grey, black and white, not to mention silver and gold

Oops, forgot to throw grey in there
And it's okay if there is more than one color in your item for example floral print that has red and green when all you needed was red, is fine.

So, I hope you have fun with this idea, because I know I will (if only I could find something orange!
Come back and check out my progress each day and
as always ( and especially when stepping out of your comfort zone) remember Confidence is KEY!
